The first ministry of the Religious of
the Sacred Heart of Mary was a shelter for women and orphans. One
of the first sisters also ran a clinic for the poor of the neighborhood.
RSHM continue this service through varied social ministries.
A sampling of these ministries includes working in community based
centers, with the homeless, in service to refugees and immigrants,
legal services, nursing.
