| Sr. Brigid Driscoll, former president of Marymount College, Tarrytown, NY, has been named to chair the Westchester Scholars Task Force. By offering lap-top computers and on-line mentoring, one-to one mentoring as well as computer centers, to students from low-income backgrounds who show academic promise, the Westchester County (NY) initiative aims to provide them with tools to become self-sufficient in the computer oriented world. The Task Force includes representatives of Westchester County government, colleges, local school districts, and private foundations. |
